Giveaway: gDiapers!

I just received a wonderful addition to the raffle table, from gDiapers!

Included in this raffle:

2 little gPants in size Small: 8-14 lbs (1 black and 1 galactic blue)
6 gCloth inserts in size Small
1 Swishstick
Instructions

These diapers are a hybrid type cloth diaper-- the outer shell, which is made out of cotton with a snap-in liner made of polyester, can hold either a biodegradable gRefills OR the gCloth inserts. The gCloth inserts are made out of 2 layers of micro-fiber fleece and 2 layers of a cotton and hemp mix. Put either side against baby's bottom! There are also no folding with these liners-- once washed, they are ready to set inside the snap-in liner. So easy! What I like about gDiapers is the velcro on the BACK of the diaper...no toddler hands easily pulling these off!

gDiapers are breathable, trim, super absorbent, fashionable (SO CUTE!), easy, contain no plastics, latex, or chlorine.

$1 per ticket-- half donated towards The Real Diaper Association and half towards the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum.

Thank you gDiapers for this fabulous opportunity for someone to try these diapers. They also included $2 OFF coupons for the goodie bags.

Changing Mats

At our Great Cloth Diaper Change event-- our changing area will be on the floor in one designated area in one large group following Guinness Record guidelines.

For the comfort of your baby and hygienic reasons-- please bring a blanket, changing mat, or something to put between your baby and the floor during the change.

Thank you!

Logos

I was informed that all participants should not wear clothing that include logos. This may include but is not limited to: clothing brand logos, business logos, and local school logos.

This is from the Guinness Book of World Records. If you happen to be in a photo, and you're wearing a logo that isn't pertaining to The Great Cloth Diaper Change or cloth diapers in general-- that photo cannot be used.

Thank you!

Someone asked me this: Logos such as, "World's Best Grandpa," etc. should be fine. =] We like logos like that!

Giveaway at GCDC: DivaCup

Another very nice raffle at Marquette's hosted location! A Model 2 DivaCup will be mailed to the winner of this raffle.

"The DivaCup is a non-absorbent menstrual cup that simply collects menstrual flow. It is inserted in the vagina and sits at the lower base of the vaginal canal. It is worn internally, yet because it is soft and smooth, it cannot be felt nor will it leak when inserted properly.

The DivaCup is the most clean and convenient method of feminine hygiene protection. No need to touch the flow. It is worn low in the vagina, not near the cervix, so it is easy to remove. No mess!

The DivaCup ends hassles with unreliable disposables in endless absorbencies, shapes and styles. It is perfect for all activities – giving women true freedom without the worry, guessing and unreliability that disposable feminine hygiene products pose.

The DivaCup can be worn for up to 12 hours before emptying, washing and reinserting for use for another 12 hours. It can be used for light or moderate flows and is emptied more often to accommodate heavy flows. Perfect for overnight use.

The DivaCup’s expert, proprietary, patent-pending features make it comfortable and assures ease of use and reliability. Perfect for traveling, running, biking, hiking, dancing, camping, swimming, diving, scuba, yoga, extreme sports and more...

  • Latex-free, BPA-free, plastic-free

  • No dyes, colors or additives

  • Comfortable, reliable

  • Clean, convenient, easy-to-use

  • Worn for up to 12 hours at a time"
Tickets for this raffle are the same as the rest of the raffles. $1 per ticket. Half of total amount from the raffles will be donated each to The Real Diaper Association and The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum.

Why Cloth Diapers?

Why Cloth Diapers?

Reusable cloth diapers have many benefits, including:

  • Environmental: Cloth diapers reduce waste for families with children in diapers by more than 50%.
  • Financial: Cloth diapers allow families to save more than $2000 per child.
  • Health: Cloth diapers help parents reduce exposure of their babies’ skin and lungs to the chemicals in disposable diapers.
  • Cute and comfortable: Parents love putting soft cloth diapers, available in a variety of styles and patterns, on their babies.
  • Convenient: Once you’ve purchased your stash, no more weekly trips to the store to purchase more – simply put a load in the laundry!
For more information and facts on cloth diapers visit The Real Diaper Association.

There are also many different types of cloth diapers. Learn more about the different cloth diapering systems on Everything Birth, Inc's Cloth Diapering Info page.

Feeling overwhelmed by all the different types? Learn more about Diaper Parties by Everything Birth and find your local Diaper Parties representative to learn more about hosting a cloth diaper party. This way you can see and touch the different types and learn more in detail about the different systems of cloth. Different systems work for different families; after attending or hosting a diaper party, you will feel confident in your choice and you will avoid the frustration of purchasing the wrong type of system.

What's really nice about these parties is if a Diaper Parties representative cannot get to you, Everything Birth will ship the kit to you and the closest Diaper Parties representative can guide you via phone and internet. How perfect is that?

Diaper Party details will probably answer all of your questions but if you happen to have a question that isn't answered just leave a comment below. =]

What is the GCDC?

Help put cloth diapers in the record book!

Cloth diapers have come a long way in past 10 years, and it’s time to stand up and be noticed. Celebrate Earth Day, by joining the North American and International cloth diaper community on April 23rd, 2011 at 9AM PDT (12PM EST) to set the world record for the most cloth diapers changed simultaneously.

Everyone can participate and the more babies the better-- every cloth diapered bum counts!
If you stumbled on this page and you're not local to Marquette-- that's okay! This link will bring you to the page to look for a local hosted GCDC event near you! If there isn't one near you and you want to participate-- host a location of your own!
